Our Privacy Philosophy

This section explains the Clientis philosophy on client privacy. Then, in the section below, you can read the details of our privacy policy to understand how this philosophy is carried out in practice.

At Clientis, two primary factors govern our approach to privacy. First, we make money from selling our courses not your data. Since selling data isn’t a revenue stream for us, we don’t have conflicted loyalties between a purchaser of our courses and a purchaser of your data. Second, we understand that our clients are SMEs and professional services providers. As such, you have confidentiality obligations to your clients. We ensure that working with us neither causes you to violate your obligations to your clients nor jeopardizes your licensure or standing as a professional.

In a nutshell, our philosophy on privacy is to treat our clients the way we want to be treated. Whenever we have a decision to make about your data, we stop and ask ourselves what we would want. This leads us to do right by you, our valued clients.

Our Privacy Policy

Who We Are

Clientis Technologies is a Florida limited liability company. We were formed in 2024 following a merger of Sales for Lawyers into Clientis Technologies. Our mailing address is P.O. Box 612851, Miami, Florida 33261. Our primary email and telephone number are support@clientistech.com and 888.478.8522. Our website is https://clientistech.com. If you receive an email purporting to be from us, before clicking any links, please check that the sender’s email address has our “clientistech” domain.

What We Do

Clientis is both a technology company and a content creation company. We develop business development curricula and learning materials, and we automate some of the content into proprietary digital applications distributed through our website and maintained on private servers. Our content and technology are organized on a learning management system which we license from www.masteriyo.com, an unrelated third party.

Your Financial Data

We believe that financial institutions are best equipped to store or maintain customer financial data. If you purchase from our website using an eCheck or a credit card, the transaction is processed by LawPay, (lawpay.com). Clientis never takes possession of or even handles your data unless you pay over time. If you pay over time, we enter the payment data into our LawPay account, store it there, and shred or delete the source document. We do not maintain your financial data anywhere other than LawPay. If you pay by direct deposit or SWIFT, the transaction bypasses LawPay and goes directly to our financial institution, Truist Bank, N.A. Our bank sends us a receipt for incoming wires and SWIFT payments, and we maintain receipts in print, not electronically.

Your Customer Data

If you enter data into our technology platform, we may keep it forever. We store it on a private server. We do not sell it to anyone. We may use it to train our system. Any contacts that you enter into our system are yours. We will never contact them; we don’t sell their names or data. If you require technical or customer support, at this time, those services are provided by overseas contractors that we have worked with for years. The contractors usually must access your account to assist you. However, they do not have full access to our system, we can track where they go, and they are contractually required to follow our privacy policy. So, they cannot sell your data, either.  If we should ever change our data sharing policy, you shall have the right to opt out before we share your data.

Personal Data We Collect

We collect email addresses, IP addresses, phone numbers, purchase history, your employer’s name, your LinkedIn profile, course assignments you submit, communications between you and course monitors or between you and our sales team, data you enter into our forms and databases, survey and evaluation responses, reviews, quiz entries, comments posted, logon history (but not your password), data about how you use our site, consumer and tech support history, and resumes and job applications you submit to us. We may collect and store other similar data not expressly listed here that you submit to us or that we otherwise obtain from public sources.

How We Use Your Data

We use your data to provide services to you such as customer support, course feedback, and even client referrals when we know that you have the expertise to do the work. We also use your data to improve our offerings. For example, if you complete a course evaluation, we sometimes implement your suggestions. If you search for something in our Knowledge Base, we may produce more content on that topic. Finally, we create our marketing materials based on which materials resonated with you and other users. We post your reviews with or without attribution to you. In short, your data is used for product development, marketing, and client service purposes.

Cookies

If you make a purchase or leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name and email in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when you make another purchase or leave another comment. These cookies last for one year. If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to see if your browser accepts cookies. That cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Login cookies last two days and screen options last one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Opting Out

It is not possible to opt out while you are a client or are actively using our platform. However, after you are no longer a client or user, you may send us an email requesting that we delete your profile and remove you from our contact list. Send such requests with the subject “OPT OUT” to support@clientistech.com. We will happily accommodate your request. Opt out requests do not apply to data we are obliged to keep for legal, administrative, or security purposes. Resuming use of our platform after opting out will result in a new profile being created and maintained by us. We reserve the right to decline to delete a new or second profile that you create after we have honored a prior request and deleted your initial profile.

Data Protection Procedures

Our website hosting company (ionos.com) provides security features such as SSL encryption to provide a secure connection, DDoS protection against attacks, and anti-virus scanner software that deactivates any files that breach the firewalls and blockers that are in place. We also have website plugins activated to block unverified comments and robotic form entries that could contain a virus. We don’t open emails from unknown senders. We don’t click links in emails. Instead we access the sites through search engines. We do not send emails with “Clientis” as the sender. Rather, any email from us will be from a named Clientis Team Member. Knowing this will help you avoid Phishing scams.

Data Breach Procedures

In the event of a data breach, we will immediately contact our hosting company to secure the breach. We also contract with a third-party IT engineer who can: (i) assess the extent of any breach, (ii) assist in notifying any subscribers whose personal identifying data may have been compromised, and (iii) advise us on any additional security measures that we can implement to prevent a future breach. Our website and data are backed up to a private server. So, we will not pay any ransom demand and our users will not permanently lose access to the site or your data. We will work to get the platform back up and running as quickly as possible and we will report the incident to the proper authorities.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

We use AI in our Knowledge Base to respond to your queries. We may deploy a ChatBot among our customer support offerings. There are automated features in our forms, web apps, email communications, and other aspects of the service we deliver to you. We may use additional AI productivity tools from time to time.

Automated Decision Making

We do not use algorithms to make decisions. Decisions about whether to: extend you a payment plan, offer you a discount off published prices, or approve a request for a refund, exchange, or substitution are made by humans in managerial roles in accordance with our Terms of Service, which are updated from time to time.
